I sent some stories for Media Prima pitching exercise back in May, 2008. After a while i received an email from BMG of TV3 stating that one of my telemovie proposal was accepted to be produced as telemovie for Maal Hijrah 1430 airing. I was very happy but that's not the end. As i proceeded to read the rest of the email i just couldn't believe my eyes. The email stated that TV3 wanted me to produce the telemovie on my own!!! I was stunned! Me a producer???!! My dreams are coming through!
It is my plan to start producing very soon. I have already registered a company for my production ventures. And that TV3 gave me a slot to do this was very timely indeed! I'm all gear up for this people!
So the production process begins. My production company - HESSA CREATIVE HOUSE SDN BHD consist of two people me and Ashik my hubby. We quickly start finding for the director of this telemovie. Cikgu Abu Hassan Murad of Layar Consult Sdn Bhd was a rescuer from heaven. He managed to get us hook up with Murali Abdullah the Director that just won best director award in the recent Anugerah Skrin (2008). Murali as it happen had directed EHSAN a telemovie produced by Cikgu which had won some nominations during the same Anugerah Skrin.
Murali is a convert. Soft spoken and very humble. We had a good first meeting with him at Cikgu's office. He quickly hooked us up with his trusted production manager Raja Mohammad. We met up with Raja the same day and quickly form up a production team consist of Murali and Raja's trusted people.
Hence the the hunt for the artists begins. TV3 had requested few artists as casts. Alhamdullilah some are easy to get but the two main casts was not! Until the last minute of the shooting they play mouse and cat with us. At the end they rejected the offer. We had to find replacement fast, other cast we had couldn't be with us for long as they had other shooting to attend too. Finally we managed to secure Fasha Sandha and Fizz Fairuz as replacement.
I had to work overtime to complete the script. Lost some sleeping time but no choice as the budget need to be prepared fast. The shooting begins. Everything went smoothly except for some minor production issues. The artist was all very dedicated. We completed shooting after 9 days. Some days were raining so we had to prolong the shooting days. I was very happy that everything went well. Now the product is ready for editing. I had personally called the editor to remind him of the dateline. There seem to be no problem at all. Murali will be supervising the editing work. I couldn't supervise the process as i need to attend Along's wedding at Kulim.
Ashik and i drove off to Kulim. We thought after coming back for Kulim we will preview the show and make final arrangement to submit the tapes to TV3.
A phone call from Murali when we were in Penang marks the beginning of a horrifying editing journey for us! Major problem with the editor. We had to change editor. Changed we did. The new editor had to start all over, now the tapes submission dateline is so very tight. We had to engaged more editors to work on the materials 24 hours. At the final day Ashik and i stayed up until 4 am to wait for the tapes transfers. At 8:30 the next day Ashik was already at TV3 to submit the tapes to BMG staff. Alhamdullilah finally the tapes reaches TV3.
As at today promos on the telemovie had already been aired. 'Tak Serupa Tapi Sama' will be aired this Saturday 27, Dec 2008, cerekerama slot, 10:00 pm. Please watch it if you have the time. I had previewed it and am very satisfied with the final product. So does Ashik. Murali had translated the script very well. He did make some positive changes to it which make the show better, i thought. I like it when the director uses his wisdom and experience to make the show better. Thanks Murali!
To Ashik, thank you very much for your dedication and hard work to ensure our first production venture goes well and a success. I am at an early stage of pregnancy with our second child and not feeling very well. Mabuk lah! Thus can't put in 100% on the project. Lucky Ashik is there...

SINOPSIS
‘TAK SERUPA TAPI SAMA..’
Apabila kita orang Islam berakhlak rendah, agama Islam itu sendiri mendapat impak yang negatif. Bagaimana kita mahu membuktikan agama kita terbaik dan sempurna tatkala kita penganut agama tersebut bukan manusia yang terbaik?
Rata-ratanya terdapat 2 golongan penganut agama islam:
i) Umat islam yang berakhlak rendah namun baik amal ibadatnya i.e. sembayang tak tinggal, puasa sunat namun bercakap kasar, pengotor, sombong etc.
ii) Umat islam yang berahklak tinggi namun rendah amal ibadatnya. Rajin bekerja, mesra, murah hati,namun tinggal sembahyang, tidak membaca al-quran dsbnya.
Kisah “Tak serupa tapi sama’ bertujuan memaparkan kedua-dua jenis golongan ini. Belinda, 24 bekerja di sebuah stesyen TV di Kuala Lumpur. Seorang yang dinamis, berbudi bahasa namun pegangan agamanya longgar. Keluarga Belinda terdiri daripada bapanya, Tajuddin dan ibunya Jauriah. Mereka adalah tipikal keluarga Melayu yang baik pencapaian duniawinya namun keterbelakang dalam soal-soal agama.
Nusri, 25 anak kepada kakak angkat Tajuddin. Nusri menumpang duduk di rumah keluarga Belinda kerana baru mula bekerja di Kuala Lumpur. Apabila Nusri tinggal di rumah Belinda wujudlah perbezaan cara hidup yang ketara. Nusri sangat menjaga ritual-ritual Islam seperti sembahyang, sering berpuasa sunat dan sebagainya. Nusri prejudis terhadap Belinda dan keluarganya yang dianggapnya sesat.
Belinda telah dicabul oleh beberapa pemuda sewaktu pergi ‘clubbing’. Pada waktu itu Belinda memohon kepada Allah s.w.t untuk menyelamatkannya dan dia berjanji untuk sujud kepada Allah sekiranya dia selamat. Belinda selamat namun dia lupa pada janjinya dengan Allah.
Belinda terlibat dalam penerbitan rancangan berteraskan cara hidup orang melayu tempatan. Belinda pergi ke kampung Nusri untuk mendapatkan bahan bagi programnya. Sampai di rumah Nusri Belinda mula melihat pelbagai perkara yang tidak elok di dalam kehidupan Nusri dan keluarganya.

Namun dalam perjalanan ke Kuala Lumpur keretanya di tahan anak-anak muda kampung dan dia mahu dirogol. Nurruddin adik Nusri yang merancang semua ini.
Belinda cedera dan trauma. Belinda teringat bagaimana dia pasrah menyerah nasib kepada Allah s.w.t seperti Nabi Yunus yang tercampak di laut dalam berdoa kepada Allah s.w.t sehingga diselamatkan oleh ikan paus
